  • A much improved Pogue Mahone's since the renovation. The place looks revitalized with a more hip and cool vibe for the crowd in and around the College Park area. They have specials almost every day of the week with the Thursday special of called "Thorogood Thursday" which consist of one beer pint, one scotch pour, and one bourbon shot that probably gets the night started REAL fast. Haha. You will find that it is a watering hole for a lot of the office workers in the College Park complex and surroundings too. They offer a good beer menu and although I have never enjoyed sour beers, they offer the Bellwoods Brewery Jelly King which I have started to enjoy as part of my beer repertoire. The food is pub to their core. It's comforting, delicious, and not fru-fru at all. I order the poutine and a pint of Jelly King that day and it hit the spot perfectly. The poutine was smothered in gravy and curds on top of the fries like it should be! The staff and service are friendly and they manage their best to attend to everyone during the busiest hours.
