  • Currently sitting in the waiting room for my car. I could go somewhere else, even over to Village Inn for breakfast if I wanted, but I'm never comfortable leaving my car. I got my quote (and $30 off coupon, thanks to a Google search) online and made my appointment. They could have come to me, but that's a $30 fee and I was trying to save money, so I opted to come into their shop. Chris is my technician and he greeted me as soon as I got out of my car. He checked my car, let me know it would be about 90 minutes, and confirmed my online price. I am, for the record, paying out of pocket. My deductible is $250 with my insurance, and if I do that, the online coupon doesn't apply, and I'll be paying easily $280. As it is, it's like $250, so I'm saving money this way. Doesn't help my deductible, but if I'm going to be paying that anyway, I'd rather it be in a situation where I won't be missing out on a way to save money - it's kind of bunk that I can't use the coupon AND have it go towards my insurance. Anyway. So I'm here waiting. My car is a 2014 Ford C-Max, nothing fancy. I doubt there will be problems with mine. I did, though, talk with another customer who came in. He has a vehicle with the rain sensing wipers, so he HAD to come into the shop to have them fixed. He had been previously told that his car would be ready and he could pick it up last night or today. He came in today to find his car is missing. When the receptionist was out, he mused that he wondered what type of "BS story" they would feed him this time that would explain why his car was being driven around when not only was it supposed to be ready, but that it only came in for a windshield replacement. This... Kind of made me glad that I have stayed. The story was that there was a "traction" problem they were testing. The guy asked why the owner said it was ready last night if it wasn't - this was already the second windshield they'd put on. She said she didn't know, but the owner would be in in a few hours and he could come back then. The guy left frustrated - I can't blame him. But again, that was him, not me. Everyone here has been nice so far and Chris has already checked in with me as I'm sitting here to let me know it will only be about 20 more minutes. I'm cool with that. So, I'm giving 4 stars because while my service has been good, my car is also pretty simple, nothing too fancy, but maybe they don't do good with fancier windshields? That's kind of what it sounds like. Also, the lobby chairs are crazy uncomfortable on my already non-existent hips. Ladies, if you got hips... You won't like this lobby. Just saying.
