| - I wish I could find people doctors as thorough, personable and caring as Dr. Mary Welle. I've taken my pets to All Creatures for the past 8 years. I have a cat who at age 6 was suffering from pancreatitis. I'd been force feeding him at home to try to keep him alive, but his bloodwork wasn't good and he had to be hospitalized. He was a shy cat, who didn't thrive in the hospital environment... so Dr. Mary called me at 10 p.m. on a Friday and asked if she could take him home -- to her house. He stayed in her guest bedroom where it was quiet and she monitored him an entire three-day weekend. It's 8 years later... and he's still living a comfy life full of southern exposure sunbeams.
Dr. Mary is also wonderful at the worst of times. She's seen us have to euthanize our 19 year old cat due to kidney and liver failure, as well as a 13 year old cat and our 10 year old dog who both suffered from cancer. Those are horrendous times, and when you realize that the fight is over, you need someone there who your animal is comfortable with. It's also extraordinarily nice that they offer house calls, which is very comforting.
In addition, Nicole, one of the vet techs is very patient. Dr. Mary even let us organize a visit to the vet clinic for our family group so the young kids could come in and see how an exam is done, learn about dogs, cats, turtles and snakes.
I'm ever so thankful we found them when we moved to the area.
