  • My Fiance and I were referred to Innate Dog Training by Grand Montecito Hospital. We started with a 8 month 85lbs high energy GSD and after the 1st training session with Nate, we noticed a difference. Nate really enjoys what he does and is really good at it. The handling techniques, leash control, and verbal commands are just a few of the things Nate taught us in a short period of time. He really knows how to read your pet and answers any questions you may have. We did a 6 week program and recently started going to Sat morning group training which is such a reinforcement of the things we learn during the week. Nate is always responsive and tends to both the pet and owner's needs. He really took our GSD from a slightly aggresive/hyperactive dog to a well behaved dog we are proud to now bring around others and into pet friendly locations. Nate being so attentive to our needs, even took the time to walk our dog and us to a nearby Dog Park, which we have always had trouble entering. He was able to teach us how to keep our GSD relaxed and calm during the walk over, where intially, he would be the one pulling us into the park! Again, after the program, group sessions are the best thing ever! We now get to socialize our GSD and still have 1 on 1 training with Nate. Our GSD always looks forward to the weekend now! With Nate being such a great trainer, and outside group sessions, we will for sure use him in our next goal of off-leash training. His expertise in Dog's and their behavior is incredible!
