  • WORST EVER! MY CARPETS ARE WORSE THAN BEFORE THE CLEANING!!! I was out of town and had left my son in charge of getting my carpets cleaned for the $99 3 room special. When I arrived home my house smelled like wet dog (I have 2 dogs). I've obviously had carpet cleaning before and it has never smelled this way afterwards. Come to find out Stanley Steemer charges EXTRA for the cleaner and deodorizer. They had told my son to pay an additional $70 for the deodorizer but he'd only been left with enough money for the "special". What company leaves carpet in WORSE condition than before? All they did was put hot water on my carpet. That's definitely not cool!!! I called customer service and spoke to a manager. She offered to come back out and deodorize the carpet for $69, saying she was meeting me half way in the middle (funny how that is a dollar less than what the service tech was going to charge). I am disgusted with Stanley Steemer, their management, the complete lack of customer service and will never use them or recommend them to anyone. In fact, I'm going to tell ALL of my friends not to use Stanley Steemer.
