Very unhelpful! I received an iPhone 6S plus as a birthday gift (my birthday was last month) and I came in to add AppleCare to my phone. They refused to add AppleCare because the phone was purchased in Oct. I explained to them that the AppleCare support number said all I needed was a diagnostics ran on my phone and that I could add it. I requested to speak to a manager and the female Apple rep said well they are going to tell you the same thing. I requested to speak to a manager a couple more times and then she finally got a manager. The manager basically said to call the apple 800 number. Definitely not coming back!
