I had been going to get my haircut here ever since I moved into the neighborhood a year ago. Because of their no appointment policy, I usually ended up having to wait an hour or more, but I never minded because I always got a great cut and the guys there are super friendly. About a month ago, I went in on a weekday around 5pm, and they told me they weren't taking any more names. They are supposed to be open until 7pm. As someone that works Monday to friday until 5pm, I can't make it there any earlier and try not to spend my Saturday afternoon waiting in a barber shop for a hair cut. I was also quite perturbed because up until this point I had been a loyal customer for a year and felt like I had gotten to know the guys well enough that they wouldn't turn me away, especially since they were supposed to be open another two hours.
Clearly my business wasn't important enough, so I left feeling quite let down. Good haircuts, nice atmosphere, but their no appointment policy is shit and they need to show more respect for the customers that give them their patronage regularly.
I've moved my business elsewhere.
