Terrible experience...now I know why Mayo is so we'll regarded for patient experience. (i.e. the bar is low elsewhere and Mayo is great). Got me in right on time to the waiting area, and then after sitting there for almost 40 minutes (alone, no other patients came and went) I finally asked what was going on. Only at that point did someone come out to tell me they were having problems with their machine today. I had an 11 AM appointment and am still here at 12:47 PM, and the MRI was 20 minutes. Proactive communication might be a better patient experience approach. And maybe the men's waiting area should have a less gender biased magazine selection? (Scottsdale Health, Home and Garden, Glamour and a women's fashion magazine?)
