Great service. Food was above part. Very little wait time -- on a Saturday evening. Whatever the bad experiences that transpired in the past from previous Yelpers at this Hash House A Go Go I did not have them today. I usually go to their location at the M. The Henderson location is every bit as good as the M's and I think it's too bad that others have had bad experiences. I was treated well by everyone, the place was great and my food was very pleasing.
Accommodations included a hip regular eating section and a sports bar dining section. The sports bar dining section has full on bar with wide screens on the walls and behind the bar. Decor featured memorabilia citing accomplishments and famous guests. I've seen many places do this it speaks well of the joint to have entertained so many honorable guests.
I ordered the chicken pot pie that came a pie crust separated from the pie. The crust was the size of a small hat! Very tasty and savory, too much to finish at one sitting. The kiwi watermelon lemonade was a delight: Light, sweet but not too much, reminds me of spring. I also tasted my wife's meatloaf sandwich. It was big, meaty, reminded me of mom's best right out of the oven. All dishes were strongly represented.
What's my bottom line? I'm convinced that Hash House A Go Go is better as breakie/brunch place than a dinner place. While what I had was great, their breakfasts are killer! These are two of their featured dinner items and they did not disappoint. Tiny deductions only because much of what they did or tried has been done before but what they did was done very well. I'm going back again for more. My actual rating is a solid 4.5 stars...
