I've been to this comic book shop twice now, and both times, I have felt really uncomfortable and unwelcome. Each time I go in, I never get greeted - I get ignored. The men who walk in the door are immediately greeted and asked if they can be helped. I've never had one of the crew members say anything to me first, I've always had to go and ask them for help, and even then, they are less than enthusiastic to help me.
The thing is, I've talked to OTHER women who have gone to this store, some of them big comic collectors, and they all feel the same way. Why the cold shoulder toward females? There are other comic book stores in Oakville with bigger collections and friendly employees, and I'll be taking my business there.
