| - This is going to be long.
But the main point is that this place has HORRIBLE service. I read the reviews and didn't think much of them because I have been here twice before - once before the renovations and another time right before so it's been a while. I don't remember the service being this horrible. Food was okay.
There isn't a sign that points out where the door is. There were four of us. We entered in and weren't sure what to do next. There was no sign that said to seat yourself or to wait for someone. We looked at the bar and there were three people working. Not one of them acknowledged us at all. There was a table open that would fit us. But we weren't sure if we could just seat ourselves. Was stood there like a bunch of idiots until someone from the kitchen came out to put things away. He noticed us and pointed at the table for us to sit down. He gave us menus before he went back to the kitchen.
Already irritated we looked through the menu and decided what we wanted. We waited for someone to take our order, or at least give us water. The table next to us were only two guys. They looked bored. We wondered if they were still waiting for help or not. We waited about ten minutes with our menus closed before one of us went up to ask for someone to come take our order.
Again, there were three people working up front; and older lady, a young lady, and a young man. The older lady came over and took our order. She said sorry and took our order while leaning against me. The other lady came by to clean off a table that just left. She also asked the two guys next to us if they've been helped. They already ordered and were waiting for their drinks.
By boyfriend ordered pho, the main reason we came here was to try the pho, with extra everything. I ended up ordering the stewed pork because looking at the photo I thought it was going to be similar to sweet pork. I was disappointed, that was my fault. The description did say pork stewed with soy sauce. I just didn't realize that that was literally it - it was way to salty for me. And my boyfriends pho, he asked for extra everything, they didn't ask if he wasted the large or regular size (don't think the option was in the menu). Let's say there wasn't much extra at all. He was not satisfied.
Finally we were done eating and were waiting for our check. Again, we sat for about 10-15 minutes not eating because we were done before my boyfriend went up to ask for our check. Took them about 5 minutes to bring us our check.
My sister and I went up to split the bill. The older lady had left a while ago so it was just the two younger workers. They seemed to be working hard to help the large group that was in the karaoke room. The guy looked like he didn't know what he was doing, especially when the girl took the blender and cup from his hands to finish the drink. He took the drink into the room while she went to make a phone call.
There was a situation with another customer and their delivery and instead of just telling the customer that they will get a 20% discount for the inconvenience, the girl asked if they wanted the discount twice to assure they they were giving them the discount. She hung up the phone and started to work on something else and then the phone rang and she picked up. The way she answered the phone was just unprofessional. After saying hello and listening to the the customer talk, she said "huh?" In a way like out of the blue some random stranger was talking to her in a language the she doesn't understand. Like she was annoyed.
-- let me say again. No one acknowledged us when we walked in and throughout this whole dinner unless we went to them.
After helping the customer on the phone she went back to do some other work. Again not even looking at us, not even saying "sorry I'll be with you in a moment" or anything like that at all.
She finally got to ringing us up after about 25 minutes of us standing there at the register.
We didn't tip. If it were up to my boyfriend he would have just walked out without paying.
With the food being just okay I would probably come back in the far future. But the service we didn't get was too horrible to ever go back.
