The food I tasted here was low quality and did not taste freshly made.
After sitting down, the garlic bread was brought out right away. I spit out the first bite because the bread tasted days old and was soggy. I asked the bus boy how the bread was made and he said Nora puts the spread on in the morning and then they bake it. If any type of spread is sitting on bread for hours it will still have that soggy consistency no matter what you do to it. He said he would bring us another batch and it would be crispier. It was crispier, however, it still tasted old and even though there was plenty of seasoning it had minimal flavor. I ordered the alla Nora and my friend ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. My pasta was baked in an oven and came out piping hot. They need to cool this pasta before they bring it out to customers because it's impossible to eat for at least 10 minutes. The first bite I had was awful. The eggplant was soggy and the tomato sauce tasted like it had come from a can. The tomato sauce reminded me of the one time in my childhood when I tried a friends spaghettios. My friends pasta was better than mine and for an Alfredo the sauce was lighter than I had expected. The chicken was okay but it would have been better if it was grilled and the pasta was mostly clumped together. I called over the manager to tell him I could not eat my pasta and about the other issues I was having. He apologized and expressed his embarrassment for the situation at hand. He ended up comping our meal and sending us home with a free dessert which was a nice touch.
Nora's just needs a complete face lift and some level of sophistication.
