  • AYCE sushi places have four criteria that I judge them on: their appetizers, their nigiri, their rolls, and how good their servers are. I don't have a favorite place, but I do have places I like to go depending on what I'm craving. This is definitely an appetizer place for me. That means their rolls and nigiri were just like everyone else, but they had a lot of unique appetizers that I liked that they carried or that I RE-ordered. I have to say that their uni was an honorable mention though. So Umiya is right off the strip and just south of China Town so it's a pretty popular place. They have bar seating, some booths, and communal looking seats in the middle. Most sushi places like this are gunna be very similar so I won't go into much detail. Price was just like everywhere else give or take a buck. My main draw here was I loved how fast service was here. There are multiple servers bringing by orders and taking away plates. I eat a lot and my bar area never seemed too crowded because the servers were around constantly. Also many AYCE sushi places seem to come around less after an order or two, but they were constantly asking if we wanted to order more. The space was nice, everything we ordered was good, and the staff was nice. Couldn't complain one bit.
