  • A little over seven months ago, I discovered CrossFit. Strength and cross-training, and learning how to lift weights were all goals of mine, so CF was the desired option (plus, the gym was basically 4 minutes from my house). My fundamentals classes began last September, and I have enjoyed growing along with the Industrial Athletics community (the box is now a year old!). Let's just say, the proof is in the muscle definition -- CF really helped realize my strength goals, through the support of a tremendous staff of trainers and fellow CF'ers who I now consider friends. Industrial Athletics is mainly a CrossFit box, but also offers Olympic lifting, yoga, and kettlebell classes. The atmosphere is high intensity and low intimidation, with a class time that fits any schedule (9am is the bestest). Truly, if you want to do CF on the North Side, you belong here. Deadlifts and burpees and back squats and pull-ups and box jumps are just some of the ways I express my love and five stars, Industrial Athletics!
