rev:text	TCF Bank will close your account because you didn't respond back within 30 days to their questionnaire submitting your residential address and answering other nonsense and invasive questions. The only reason I decided to open up an account with them was because they were close and offered "FREE" Checking Account. Catch is, you have to pay $19 for some checks that nobody really uses in this time in age. I wasn't even going to continuing GIVING THEM MY BUSINESS considering they are a small BRANCH but I went along anyway & opened an account I now regret. First of, I was told since I opt for online statements I wouldn't get charged a fee. I did, twice. I called TCF Bank about 4 times within 2 months of being a new customer and each time got lied to with them saying they were going to stop charging me the fee & reimburse me, never did. Then, I receive so much JUNK Advertisement mail that, WHO REALLY sits & read their mail from a corporation from a BANK? Well, I don't & I didn't so because of that TCF closed my account. I called again, 5X, was told that because of the Terrorist Act of the PATRIOT ACT that because I didn''t respond back to their mandatory questionnaire, they were acting illegally because they could not verify my residence & because of that closed the account. I said I want my checking acct & fees reimbursed & the teller for TCF told me that I would have to reopen the account by SUBMITTING the questionnaire or sending in a electric or other utility bill of my resident. The Patriot Act is REAL but why in the US like I'm a dammmmm Terrorist?! Shit so backwards in the US. UK is a Kingdom for a reason! Much better common sense. ;0)
