Bought a blower motor and capacitor during winter and they were helpful with questions and even took the motor apart with a hub puller for free, which was a pleasant bonus. At the time, we were very impressed with the service.
Boy how things have changed. My wife went back to get a new capacitor because the current one went out, and first the lady tried to give her one in a different size form factor despite my wife repeatedly stating it wouldn't fit into the housing. Finally, a different guy heard and got her the right housing for the new cap. Then, the best part... $40!!!! 40 bucks for a 15mfd 370v oval cap that was $10 at the same store a few months ago. Apparently that was the special price when bought together with a motor...per the lady...ok, I get that. A little higher when bought separately...but FORTY BUCKS?! The EXACT same part is 10 bucks online at a million places and under 15 at Grainger in town in stock. Outrageous. Almost a 200% markup is disgusting and frankly unconscionable. Especially considering what a capacitor actually costs. Good thing they took advantage of my wife who didn't know any better. Disgusting.
