  • No longer a loyal customer. We had Empire service our garage door on 3 previous occasions over the past few years and called them back because all 3 cases involved a broken spring and we had a lifetime warranty on the spring from the 1st call. We were pleased with the service and prices the first 3 visits but when our door jumped the track on Friday evening 3 days after we had them out for a broken spring they quoted an after hour repair fee of $125 to $350 and had nerve to tell me I was lucky they were sending someone after hours. When they arrived they told me it was $350 plus another $128 to replace a roller with bad bearings that came off when the door jumped the track. I sent him packing without a repair rather than be taken advantage of for an after hours repair job and I still had to pay them a $125 service call fee. I called another company who came out within 2 hours and quoted us $189 for the repair and waived their service call fee with the repair. We will be replacing the door and the opener in the near future and guess who we WON'T be calling..
