Took the kids there yesterday. We bought a Groupon for four burgers and two hours of bowling. Its a nice place and the bowling alley staff is friendly and courteous. Unfortunately the restaurant staff is not so friendly. Apparently the restaurant runs completely separate from the bowling alley.
I realize this is not the bowling alley's fault to the extent that they do not have direct control over the restaurant however, the deal we bought indicated and we were led to believe when we presented the Groupon that there was at least some cooperation between the two establishments.
We were not expecting that much for a Groupon for four free burgers at a bowling alley but, did wait almost 45 minutes for them to bring four frozen burgers. At that time I wanted to order more food for the kids so I placed an order with the waitress when she delivered the burgers. I thought since I was paying for this order they may take less time to deliver and it was also an order for fried finger foods so shouldn't take too long. The waitress took my order and left.
Well, thirty to forty minutes after that I send my thirteen year old to check on our food. She was very rudely told that the order was not put in because we did not pay for it and that she should have ordered at the restaurant!!!
I do not have a problem pre-paying or ordering where I am supposed to if I am told at the time I try to place the order that there is a different protocol. However, if someone comes to your lane/table to bring a food order and then takes a food order without a problem that indicates there is no problem.
Instead MY KID GETS SCORNED FOR ASKING ABOUT HER FRIES.
