  • We have been waiting many months for Gimme Java to open... finally the day arrived. This AM I stopped by to try out a bold roast coffee and was pleasantly surprised to find that Armando's Blend was very good. The staff was very friendly. It is so good to see a legitimate locally owned food establishment open in Shaker Heights, as all we seem to have are bad chain pizza joints. Oh not to mention the over abundance of hairdresser/nail joints. Seems to me that City Hall is not good at attracting decent places, unlike neighboring Cleveland Heights which has many good, affordable eateries.
