  • Just returned from this place with my boyfriend and am not pleased with the services presented at this so-called iPhone repair shop. First I've been here before to get my iPhone 6s repaired with minimal problems, there's a little bright misshapen circle in the top left corner but it's something I didn't notice until months later, plus it doesn't affect the functions of the phone itself so no big deal. Fast forward some more months, boyfriends phone breaks, warranty is up with Apple, I recommend this place because A.) Our main source of transportation happens to be the bus and its closer than anything else around and B.) My phone still works after all this time so the place can't be that bad. So he goes and gets his phone fixed and there are some problems with it so he plans on going back before their 30 day warranty is up, doesn't make it in time whatever still works though some of the problems are annoying (shady region in top right corner came up sometime after the warranty was up, buttons pressing on their own- not all the time, but enough to be annoying). So today we call them and they're running a Christmas special which is supposed to come out to $65 for 6s plus repair of the screen and home button, there is also a dark shady region in their top right corner. So we wait about an hour and a half. When we go to pick it up, the home button is white (his phone is black) and won't read his finger print, and the black shade on the edge of the screen is still there, when we leave we discover there's this weird problem with his e-mail app and that it keeps showing no sender emails in multiples that keep reappearing anytime he deletes them. So they basically have only fixed the cracks on the screen and Wookie, the owner, tells us that everything else is impossible to repair. Me being the person that I am decide to inquire about this. I mean there have been a number of damages done to my iPhone that I currently hold. I've never been to a business that claimed to "fix" iPhones, but turn around and say "this & that" just simply cannot be fixed. If that were the case I feel as though we should have been made aware if they were incapable of doing the job that they have advertised before repairing the glass at all. I tell Wookie that we're not paying $65 for a half-fixed phone, either knock down the price some more or we can see what our other options are. To which he replies (condescendingly): "I can only do $60 out the door or I can put the old screen back on if you want?" I ignore that and tell my boyfriend it's ultimately up to him what he wants to do, but that if anything we can just leave a review and tell people that they really only fix cracked screens here and nothing else. As soon as the word 'review' leaves my lips is when Wookie is ready and willing to cooperate. He offers $40 out of the door if I promise not to leave a review. I thought that request was a little strange so here I am. I don't have money to burn by any means (I mean I take the bus everywhere) so even $40 for the service I received is enough to make me never want to visit this place again. I will never recommend anyone get their phone fixed here. Just spend the $75-$85 somewhere else that will actually fix it.
