| - Cornish Pasty used to be our go to and a place we would tell everyone about. A place to go with friends and bring co-workers, and tell family about... And I do think this place is unique with a cool atmosphere and generally speaking the food is okay. And though usually the service is slow, forgetful, and lets be honest- sub par... we had a pretty good waitress today. However, once she left her shift-- we were not checked up on or given coffee or water refills... for only... hmmm... 7 hours. My husband and I were catching up with a friend we hadnt been able to get together with in awhile... and having great conversation... and the place was VERY empty today, on a Saturday. The outside was desolate, and there were at least four plus empty tables inside and a mostly empty bar on our way out. Not a good sign for business on a Saturday night. We kept waiting for someone to come over and offer us more water... we wanted to get some drinks, dinner, and dessert since we were there so long-- but NO ONE came to our table in all of that time. And no, I am not chasing down a waiter at a resteraunt to get service! One guy (the owner?) came to our table and lit the candle but did not offer any drinks or food seeing our glasses and to go boxes empty... he walked by us multiple times! Then the service folks decided to start looking our way and whispering... ( instead of trying to get a higher tab, funny) and a large group came in and was glaring at us (though there were many empty tables and couches in our vicinity). So we decided to leave- I mean it is hotter than hell in there, you can not feel the air conditioning!! This is Arizona come on people! No water!! I am so over this place. We literally sat there with money to spend and no service! We were testing them after awhile, waiting to see if someone would come over. We gave them every chance. I guess we will spend our money elsewhere. And I definitley will not be referring this place to anyone anymore as the food has also been going downhill for awhile. We got the pilgrim which was luke warm and mushy... and just not very flavorful. And the meat and cheese was crumbly and tasted like mince meat instead of sausage. Enough is enough.
