| - If I could give two separate reviews (one for the sales and one for the alterations), that would be ideal.
The sales aspect, I would give 4 stars for sure. I had a great experience with my sales girl and they were so patient and understanding. I wanted cap sleeves and one of the managers pinned something that was perfect and I fell in love with the dress. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that my dress came in sometime in July and they never called. I called end of August to check on the progress and they told me it was there. This ended up causing me rush fees.
The alterations part, I would give zero stars if I could. Whatever you do, DO NOT HAVE YOUR DRESS ALTERED THERE!!!!!!!!! You will regret it!! Take it somewhere else!!! I was having caps sleeves added and changing the zipper to a corset in the back. Both of those things were told to me in the sales process that they do them all the time and it's a very easy alteration. Well I come in on my first visit and the dress doesn't zip up. I am stating now, that I did not gain nor lose any weight during the process. The girl panicked but I let her know immediately that it was not a big deal because I was having the corset put in which means the back doesn't line up anyway. The end of the dress had these "eyelashes" on them and I wanted them removed as well. Well the girl decides she would cut off the eyelashes while I wait and stand there in the dress. It took 10 minutes and I was charged a 100 dollars for that. The same price I was charged to add in the corset. Does that make sense? The answer is a clear no. But she already did it prior to telling me the price so what could I do? I could have taken scissors to it myself. So I show her the picture that the sales girl did of the sleeve. I even texted it to her to show her. She told me the dress needed to be let out, I told her I didn't think so since I was having the corset done. She insisted it did. Cut to my next appointment two weeks later, the sleeves weren't done at all, only the corset. And she tells me that I must have lost weight because the dress is too big and I tell her no I definitely did it. Well she said I have to take the dress back in half an inch. The exact amount she just took out. Well she cuts a pattern with the sleeves and attempts to pin it and couldn't replicate what a sales girl did in seconds to save her life. Then I check out and she tries to charge me for taking the dress back in!!!! I refused and a manager came over and agreed with me. I should have asked for a refund for what I paid originally to have the dress taken out when it wasn't needed. But I didn't because my wedding was weeks away and she had my dress, it made me nervous it wouldn't get done in time. I come back again and have a different woman and the caps sleeves are so wrong, it's not even funny. She tells me to come back on Friday (3 days prior to my wedding). I come back and the sleeves are awful!!! She does her best to make them work and I have to wait 45 min while she hand stiches them together. I was so disappointed with the sleeves. I have scars on my upper arms and very insecure about them and was trying to cover them. Well after the ceremony, the sleeves kept falling down and then the elastic she hand stitched fell out. I had no choice but to tuck them into my bra during the reception. I see the pictures and I'm so unhappy with them. I paid over $350 in alterations on a $650 dress that I wasn't even happy with.
That was long winded I know. I guess I needed to vent. Buy your dress there but go anywhere else but there for alterations.
