| - I went looking for a specific item, which they were out of, and proceeded to tell me they could not get it from their supplier anymore. I never really like that line especially for a popular product. Surely a store of this size would deal with more than one supplier. If a product is super popular, and it was my business, I would be tracking down the supplier.
I spent quite a bit of time browsing, as it is close to home I wanted to familiarize myself with what they carried in case of need. The best part is the large selection they have is of freshly dried herbs and spices, packaged from bulk. They had many good products, and for the most part things were reasonably priced. It reminded me of the herb stores of earlier days, so I loved that nostalgia.
I was surprised at how poorly merchandised the store was and disorganized with much wasted space. With the cost of retail space one would think they would make every square foot count. The staff had limited knowledge of the products and their demeanour was somewhat rough around the edges. If you are standing two inches from my ear, then you probably do not need your outdoor voice.
They do carry aromatherapy oils, ear candles, gluten free snacks and pastas, organic baking supplies, grains, flours, vitamins, skin care to name some of what I saw. They carry a very limited selection of homeopathics. This store has a wealth of potential, however I am not sure things will change there, as it appears they are doing things the way they have always done, probably for years and years, and most likely will continue to do so.
