I work with a short walk of this store and pop in from time to time. They have a good selection of gear--brands you cannot easily find elsewhere and a bit more upscale than what you find at BBR. One of their most interesting pieces is a tube based integrated amp from a house brand that is very affordable.
The guys in the shop seem to know their gear, especially for being younger.
Their record selection is quite nice (mostly new)--especially for jazz.
My sense is that not everything on the site is in the store. And again, there is only new gear here; as any audiophile knows, you can get really great deals if you buy used. Some guys are always switching out equipment and selling off their gently used models from last year; it is too bad that POS isn't buying some of this back and selling it.
The best thing about this store is that on the last Sunday of the month, they will play a classic jazz LP on their best system, a series of components and cables that would probably cost $200K+. It sounds amazing! Just beware: anything you have at home is probably going to sound a lot duller afterwards!
Recommended--certainly needs to be considered if you are looking to buy your first turntable or make any upgrades to your system.
