| - WORST DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE EVER!!
I've been the owner of a 2014 Jeep Grand cherokee for almost 1 year now. End of September 2013, my dad decided to purchase the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee for me but it was also going to be a car he would drive when he was in town. Starting the 2nd month, I noticed several problems with the car. The AC was no longer working properly, the car would shake/jerk forward at the weirdest times, the screen would get extremely hot even when it was cool inside the car, and then radiator cracked and the coolant was leaking. I decided to bring my car back to the dealership, so they could replace the radiator and figure out what was causing all the other issues with the AC, screen overheating, shaking/jerky movements. The only thing the dealership did was replace the radiator. Not one single person was able to figure out or fix any of the other issues.
Soon after that first visit to the dealership, I received a 1st recall notice. I have since received a 2nd recall notice for something entirely different. That's 2 recall notices in less than 6 months. Seem normal??? NO! Oh and by the way, I was told that for this 2nd recall notice (for the brake booster)....I would need to wait several months because they can only replace 1 BRAKE BOOSTER EACH MONDAY and there are thousands of people on the list in front of me. Seem acceptable?? NO! Moving on.....since I wasn't getting anywhere with the idiots at the dealership (who were totally incompetent and rude each time I brought my car over there), I decided to contact Chrysler/Jeep Headquarters. I was assigned a case manager, a case was opened, and I was asked to drop my car off at the dealership. My car was there for 1 week. I got a call 1 week later to pick my car back up. Were the technicians able to find the problems and fix them? Absolutely NOT! They told me my car was working just fine and I could take it back. I did take it home and continued to drive it. I continued to experience the same issues.
So, I decided to go straight to the top guy this time and contacted the CEO. He apparently passed my letter and info on to another guy at the office and this new guy assured me that he would take care of me and that I would need to drop my car back off at the dealership for 7+ days but this time, he PROMISED an engineer and/or expert would be in contact with the technicians at the dealership and this time they would figure out what was wrong with the car. I mentioned that this time, aside from all the previous problems, my '911' car button was apparently in need of repair. A message had popped up on the screen saying the '911' button/feature needed to be serviced since it was no longer working. So, I yet again dropped my car off at the dealership. That was on a Thursday monday. On Monday, I get a call from the dealership and they're saying my car is ready for pick-up. My car wasn't even there for 3 whole business days. When I arrived, I asked if they had been contacted by an engineer or expert from Michigan (which is where the Headquarters are located). They said NO, WE HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY ANYONE FROM MICHIGAN OR ELSEWHERE IN REGARDS TO YOUR CAR. Wasn't that the whole point of me dropping my car off again, for an extended period of time. Does this company think it's funny to waste my time and make false promises???? Are you kidding me??? I also asked about the '911' button and they said it was working absolutely fine and nothing had been done for that and I should just ignore the message on the screen that said it wasn't working properly.
This message/review is for anyone who is considering the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee or any other car owned by Jeep or Chrysler. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL, DISHONEST, AND FULL OF CRAP COMPANY EVER!! I have owned several cars from other companies/brands before this one and I have NEVER experienced anything like this. My experience with this company has been terrible and my family regrets purchasing this car. It's being advertised as the best of the best all over the place but that's NOT THE CASE. This 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a ton of issues and has received 2 recall notices in less than 6 months. If you don't want to deal with EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & A BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT LIARS....stay away from this car & company. Also, do your research when it comes to Jeep dealerships. I live in Las Vegas and all 4 Jeep dealerships in my area have received very poor reviews. The personnel there is atrocious. They treat their customers with no respect. I felt the need to share my horrible experience with everyone out there. Maybe it'll help one or two of you. If I could go back, I would convince my dad to pick a different car....one not owned by Chrysler or Jeep. I am officially done with the dealership and the company. You live and you learn. Do your research before purchasing a car from this company. Good luck!
