  • I had my first experience at Longos a few weeks ago and what a great shopping experience. Free carts, free bags, and amazing staff who even bag your groceries! Definitely a different experience to my usual weekly trip to no frills. Sure, it is more expensive but you get what you pay for. Everyone seemed to have a smile on their face, from the woman who helped me at the deli counter and recommended some nice cheese to serve to my guests, to the lovely lady at the bakery who helped me pick out a cake for a member of my team and wrote happy birthday in blue icing ( by the way the cake and pastries were amazing!). Half vanilla and half chocolate...highly recommend! Loved the variety here and they even grind their veal everyday! Great variety of fresh breads (olive bread? Yes please!), freshly made muffins, and even Haagen Dazs gelato! No frills definitely doesn't carry that... Will I go every week? Due to the prices and being slightly out of the way from my house compared to no frills, probably not, but when I want a special experience or having a dinner party or needing a nice cake, I will definitely be coming here.
