| - I am extremely unimpressed with the staff at this theatre. I purchased my tickets online for Star Wars opening weekend for an IMAX showing at 9am for myself and my son. We showed up at the theatre this morning at 8am, knowing there would be a line and we were probably the 15 and 16th people to arrive. The theatre wasn't open, so we stood outside in the cold talking with the others in line, including many families with small children. The line continued to grow towards the parking lot and quickly. At about 8:30, a staff member came out and moved us all to line up along the vacant ticket counter across the plaza from the ticket counter they usually open. Shortly after, they opened the ticket counter opposite us, and began selling tickets and letting those people walk in the door while the entire line continued to wait and stand in the cold. No one let us in, and once we realized people were skipping the line they had us formed, we all pushed forward to the theatre, where we again had to wait to use the kiosks to obtain our tickets, all the while, people who hadn't been waiting were let in before us.
When I said something to the staff, they had no idea what they had done was in anyway wrong. They likely would have just let us sit out there.
I was amazed that on opening weekend of such a major film, full well knowing they had people lined up, that they would mishandled this as poorly as they did. While this is the closest IMAX to my home, I will drive the extra few miles from now on to another for better service.
