  • My cat needed a full mouth extraction due to stomatitis. She was diagnosed at a different clinic closer to my house and they gave me an estimate of $1,200 - $1,400 for the entire procedure. I decided to maybe call a few of the top 5 best rated places on yelp and see what the average cost would be. Most places refused to give me an estimate over the phone without going in for an exam and another quoted me between $800-$1,900. I already knew what she needed to get done so i wasn't going to take her to clinics all around town for exams in order to get an estimate for each one of them. North Kenilworth was the only place that would give me an estimate by phone. They itemized everything by phone and told me my total cost would be between $830-$870. I scheduled an appointment right away. The night before her scheduled exam / drop off time I noticed my other cat had a wound on his neck. The next morning i called North Kenilworth and asked if there was any possible way they could squeeze him in for an exam. They told me to bring him in and if the doctor had time he would check him out. The vetrinary assistants, front desk receptionists and doctor were very kind and very helpful. As soon as I walked in they had a room for me immediately instead of having me sit in the waiting room for half an hour. My boy was semi-feral when I adopted him and is now a giant "fraidy-cat" so the doctor examined him first. I was actually very surprised by how good my boy acted. The doctor and vet tech were very gentle with him. My boy got 2 shots and 2 take home medicines. Next they examined my kitty with stomatitis to make sure she wasn't misdiagnosed before proceeding with the procedure and she did indeed have stomatitis. I dropped her off and she stayed there overnight. The staff called after her procedure and gave me an update on how she was doing and even told me I could stop by before they closed if I wanted to visit her! I picked her up the next morning and was expecting a much higher bill because of my boys last minute exam an treatment but my total for both kitty's and tax was only $917!!! They gave me some take home anti-biotics and pain reliever for her and called to check in and see how both of them were doing. I would highly recommend North Kennilworth and will definitely bringing all 3 of my cats here anytime they need anything done! If i could give them 10 stars i absolutely would!!!!
