  • DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM BUDGET IF YOU CAN HELP IT!! This was one of the worst rental car experiences I've ever had. We landed at 11:30am on a Friday for Spring Training, and the line to get our rental car was the longest I've ever seen. They had 8-10 people working at the counter, but it still took close to an hour to get to the front of the line (that's how bad it was). I'm used to rental car places trying to upsell you on insurance coverage, etc., but Budget was one of the worst, and that was a big reason the line barely moved. To top it off, they had a "greeter" who ended up chatting with someone in front of us the entire time we were in line, and then tried to diss us as "bandwagon" fans- who does that to their customers? I liked the type of car I got, although the inside wasn't very clean and the steering wheel was a little sticky. The worst was the pieces of broken glass shards (maybe from a previous break-in?) that hand't been completely cleaned up, so we had to use napkins and carefully toss out the glass. The car was also over 20,000 miles which is rare. Moral of the story: Try to avoid renting from Budget at all costs, especially from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport!!
