We attended a Christmas party and decided to stay the night. I had driven past the resort many times, but never ventured inside. It is deceivingly big. The grounds are magnificent and perfectly manicured. The evening lighting was awesome with Christmas lights everywhere but not overdone. The pool lighting was beautifully tasteful.
Our room was on the large side with an enormous bathroom. Our balcony looked South toward Camelback mountain and when we awoke in the morning, the view was spectacular.
The hotel had quite busy yet we barely heard any other guest. A little road noise on the West side of the resort is unavoidable but not problematic.
We ate breakfast at the Prado restaurant. We sat outside on the patio and felt as if we were in Spain. The buildings, gardens and general layout are a sight to be seen. The prices were high but food and service terrific.
We did not have enough time to utilize the amenities during this stay but plan to the next time.
When we checked out, we immediately booked a weekend stay for later on in the month.
