I called Cochran for the first time ever and set an appointment for Monday morning at 6:30 am. I had the car towed to their lot and gave the keys to a guy in the lot who I got to talking with. I explained to the service manager what the problem was and he told me they would get it fixed. I waited two days and called Tuesday evening looking for my car and got a machine and left a message. Wednesday mid morning I got a call and the service tech asked me what the problem was with my car. I told him how I talked to the service guy when I had the car towed in Saturday for a Monday morning appointment and he told me he just got the keys now. Are you kidding me? I asked him why set an appointment if they can't keep it? He tells me they get 10 cancellations a day. WTF? They diagnosed it and I told them to fix it and he said he would call me when its done. Thursday came and went and Friday I called and left four messages without one call back. I called again and hit the sales prompt instead of the service prompt and got a real person on the phone so I asked them to walk over to the service desk and put the service guy on the phone. I swear to God. I talked to the guy and explained why I was so angry. I asked him Why didn't I get a call back? He said there was no record I called and that they couldn't reach me because my voice mail wasn't set up. Which I know is bullshit. They had no problem reaching me when they wanted to charge me $900 for a fuel pump. I asked why it took three days to get to my car and he told me they have 10 cancellations a day. That must be their stock bullshit answer. The lot is small it holds maybe 10 -15 cars, maybe. I asked him when they see an appointment for a 2002 luna green beetle for 6:30 am on Monday morning why wouldn't they check their lot? They accused me of not dropping the key off. I told him I gave the key to a dark haired kid smoking out by the dumpster who has a pitbull and was going on vacation the week. I told him everything but this kids mothers maiden name. The bottom line is the service department is inept and I wonder if the mechanics are too. They lie and make excuses and worst of all try to make it out to be my fault. I would not go back their ever again. I will tell everyone I know how shitty this service experience was and I would hope that anyone with any authority who is reading this would fix this problem because it doesn't seem to be an isolated problem.
