Our friends had a wonderful meal here during restaurant week so we were excited to try this place. Unfortunately we did not have as wonderful of an experience. There were four of us all together. The tomato bisque soup was delicious but was lukewarm at best. Two of us had chopped salads which were mediocre in flavor and somewhere the concept of 'chopped' got lost. My lasagne had great flavor but the noodles were clumped together. My husband had the rigatoni with Italian sausage which had good spice to it but the pasta was extremely al dente for our tastes. Our friend's shrimp fra diavolo was good but lacked any spice to it-it needed a bit more kick. Our other friend's shrimp scampi on risotto had beautiful presentation and I think overall she enjoyed her meal.
The service, too, lacked severely. The restaurant was busy as there were several parties of high schoolers eating there for prom but not all tables were filled so it wasn't crazy busy yet 10-15 minutes would pass without seeing our server. We never received a refill of our bread or water. My husband had to ask a different server to bring him the blue cheese stuffed olives that his martini was served without. We stopped what appeared to be the Maitre d to complain that the martini itself was watered down and he was very rude in his interaction with us. A new martini was made immediately and was much better. I would not consider us to be high maintenance customers but when you don't receive what was ordered or even a spoon to eat your soup with and there are no apologies or friendly, efficient service, it makes for some very aggravated consumers. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
