| - I stayed here on New Years Eve and paid almost $600 for the most basic room with a view to the strip. Our FIRST problem began right off the gate. We checked in at 3:30 (right at check-in time) and our room was still showing "dirty" per the check-in attendant so he called to make sure the status was showing correct and stalled us for a good 20 minutes while he was on the phone checking the "status"...im sure just waiting for the maids to finish cleaning. After the 20 minutes he tells us "oh its ready, IDK what took so long, they had me on hold." RIIIIIGHT...so then we go up to our FIRST room and the maid is still in the room and then blurted out "oops I heard a different room number" which of course, confirms that they were stalling us so they can hurry up and clean the room...this was not the only problem with the room. It was NOT facing the strip! Let me remind you we paid an additional $100 or so to make this happen and we double checked with the check in person before we went up and he confirmed it would be...the room view was HORRIBLE and facing the side strip as well as a HUGE part of the building below us -_- . I then called to talk to a manager and she moved us from room 1625 i believe to room 2360, she then told me they would send a bell attendant to help us move our stuff..20 minutes later,,,nobody got there. Since we had reservations somewhere else at 6PM we decided to just move the stuff ourselves, went down stairs and got our new keys...by that time the line to get on the elevator was RIDICULOUS. We lost another 30 minutes there. Needless to say we couldn't make it to where we had our reservations for which had been planned for a while now. My partner was beyond pissed so we waited until the morning at check out to talk to a manager about the domino effect not having a CLEAN, strip view room ready when we got there. From the time we got there to the time we walked into the room we had already wasted an hour and forty minutes.
We talked to the check out lady and said she would not charge the resort fees a nice $38 savings (WOW!) and insult if you ask me. I then proceeded to tell her that it wasn't enough due to all the time wasted and making us miss our reservations, she then told us she might have a letter in the back to where we can get a free upgrade at our next stay. (Who would want to stay again after that experience) so i kindly declined and explained this to her. She then went to talk to what I am assuming is the manager and came back saying they would comp us a room for ONE night at a later time which of course would have black out dates.
We agreed because it sounded like the best they could do which still doesn't make me happy. She then proceeded to say that they were "out" of letters and they would send me an email with the letter "tomorrow" which was yesterday...of course I still haven't received anything, oh and they STILL charged me the $70 they said I would not be charged!
They completely ruined our FIRST New Years experience in Vegas! The LEAST they can do is comp us a few days with no black out dates or another chance at having a good experience in Vegas on New Years Eve/Day! SMH!
