I live in a single family home in a guard gated community and I expect to spend $15-25k on this project. I needed irrigation, lighting, hardscaping, and a landscape design and planting in the front, sides, and back yards (around the existing flagstone patio). Cole from Desert Foothills Landscaping came out and spent at least 90 minutes, discussing what needed to be done and his ideas for the project, and taking pictures. I realize that I don't have a huge multimillion dollar home and giant yard but he assured me I had plenty to work with. A couple days later I got a letter that based on their work load they would only take jobs with "adequate budget". Why didn't he just say that up front and not waste my time? I told them up front where I lived and he could see that for himself when I arrived. If you call make sure you clarify with them up front what their minimum budget is before you waste time! I still don't know what they consider an "adequate" budget.
