  • I took my suicidal brother to this facility in August, 2015. The person who interviewed him gave us the impression he would be admitted immediately. He was not. Instead, he was placed in a room with reclining chairs with many other people, FOR 72 HOURS. I spoke to him nearly everyday when he finally was placed in a bedroom, and he complained about everything, from the nurses to the doctors to the therapists. I attended a family "therapy session". It was held in a very crowded room with a TV and about 30 ordinary chairs. The door to the room opened and closed constantly. So, in August, it became extremely hot. The "therapist" appeared to be someone with an 8th grade education. He went from patient to patient and asked them how they were doing, and gave no feedback whatsoever. He did not acknowledge the few family members who were present. And that was the end of the "therapy" sessnion. The facility has what appears to be hotel rooms that lead to a very small outside area with fake grass. Besides the uncomfortable therapy room, that is where patients linger around, laying on fake grass. The nurse's station is behind glass where patients have to stand outside in line in the heat to obtain any help they may need. I sent a supportive card to my brother, which he never received. It was returned to me by the facility nearly a year later, with a note saying it had been displaced. I was an employee at St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center, and would highly recommend that facility over this one, which is a very poor excuse for behavioral health services.
