rev:text	My wife and I just saw Motown Extreme at the Inspire Theater last Saturday night and it was great fun. All the performers were all-in with big smiles and encouraging a strong audience participation that can happen in a smaller, intimate theater setting. We all clapped and sang along and even danced at various times. I tended to keep an eye on Felton Pilate, the musical director, who was on the keyboard on stage-right in the back playing excellent background chords and singing sweet background vocals when needed. If you remember, the all-important background vocals of the Motown sound was a big inspiration for the American music culture, and it was played well here in this dynamic show. Many thanks for his musical direction and participation. The Las Vegas Stars seemed to be the show centerpiece with J Royal leading the charge on one of the best early-Jackson 5 interpretations you're likely to ever enjoy. While J Royal is a unique vocal treat, the dance choreography by the whole Las Vegas Stars troupe provided a rock-solid visual foundation that helped sell this joyful experience. In fact the choreography throughout the night was outstanding by givings us the 60's Motown feel while we all clapped and sang along to all the songs. And we were all impressed with the sometimes show-stopping performances of Ausar Robert Bragg, who's Marvin Gaye tribute and other songs brought gasps of delight from the ladies in the audience. There's a depth of character, experience and musicality in his voice that reminds me of Seal, Marvin Gaye, and many other vocal legends. Definitely a show worth seeing. Enjoy.
