I want to start by saying this show is not to be confused with Michael Jackson "the Immortal World Tour" which played at Mandalay Bay a couple of years ago at the convention center. And was also on tour throughout the country. THIS IS NOT THE SAME SHOW! The young lady from New Jersey who said she saw it there is mistaken. That is not the same show. This show was made for Vegas and has NOT been on tour. They actually built a theater for the show. complete with glitz and glamour, red carpets, paparazzi, sequins, lights cameras and all that is Mj. It's actually very exciting entering the theatre and something to behold. When you walk in you feel like a star! It's sweet. :)
I have seen both shows: as the lady from NJ said; the first one sucked (in my opinion) the song selection...the story line (if there was one) it was just weird.
This one had energy...excitement...awesome visual effects. It was very intimate unlike the other show. The audience was more engaged. The theater is small so even nose bleed seats are good. In fact the higher up is better. I would advise sitting on the second level near the front. You can see everything! If you sit in front of the stage you can't see all the cool things happening around you above you and behind you.
I enjoyed pretty much every moment of the show. I won't tell which parts because I want you to see it yourself. But I will say this..there are only a few reasons to dislike this production:
1. You're a square with no rhythm and you're not into dancing, classic music, special
effects or Mj or if "noise" bothers u
2. You're hard core Cirque du Soleil. THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL CDS SHOW! There is some elements like acrobats, people coming out of the ceiling and flying through the air and a few people who appeared to be rubber :) which is really cool. But this is not "O" so come expecting to get your grove on and leave your opera glasses at home.
The show was great for everyone. I found it to be appropriate for kids as well (unless zombies scare them ;) I would pay to see it again and recommend it to my family and friends
Kisses!
