| - If you can get past the riff raff that often loiters outside the building, you will find a pretty average Goodwill. Although not my favorite Valley Goodwill location, the employees are nice enough and they do a good job of keeping the store fairly organized for optimal thrifting.
I come here for the book selection. For some reason, this location has a wide array to meet almost any literary desire! Here, I have purchased current GMAT study books, prime Southern Living Christmas cookbooks and the occasional like-new Newberry children's books for the nieces and nephews. Oh, and once, I found a beautiful set of Jimmy Carter books--the perfect gift for that Southern Democrat on my list. They also have their fair share of Twilight and copies of Eat, Pray, Love (why does every used book store have 10 copies of Eat, Pray, Love!!??).
At checkout, opt in for the increase-to-the-next-dollar-up (to give back to society) and keep your head down while walking briskly to your car. You will get asked for money at least once (or cigarettes). Happens every time. Happy thrifting!
