| - Overall, I instantly love what this place has brought to the strip. With the arena behind and a walk through the park...I was completely feeling the vibe. I imagined hanging out with my husband when it's dark enjoying some alcoholic beverage and straight kicking it.
My 15 year old self emerged as I seriously just typed straight kicking it. Lol.
Lots of tables to chill around, a couple of restaurants have outdoor seating, there's this walkway where the walls are fountains that our children could not resist running their HANDS through as they ran up and down. If your children are children and you allow them to be...bring extra clothes! You can only yell and warn so many times, so save yourself the stress.
We hung around for a bit, indulging in some treats from the Hershey store and Shake Shack. The weather was pretty nice from this angle. Lots of shaded seating and it had a nice welcome vibe.
I didn't feel that Las Vegas Strip vibe since it's pathway isn't facing the LV Boulevard. Not to mention admiring the view of our new TMOBILE arena from there...made me feel like we are becoming a legit state. Hahahha. Security were clearly seen and actively patrolling, so thank you security! Hate when I see security standing under a shade...just standing...and standing....and standing...shift weight to.the other side...and stand.
It's a great hangout spot, I believe, for both locals and tourists. I didn't get to look at every restaurant's menu, but Bruxies, Shake Shack, and California Pizza Kitchen would be your best option for family friendly eating. Love the big statue they have at the end of it (if you're coming from the boulevard). Kinda reminds me of the heisman trophy pose.
I highly recommend locals and tourists to take a walk around. I truly love how everything has been built along New York New York, which is why we bring the kids there. It's our typical go-to area if we want to take the kids out to the strip annnnd it's conveniently located right off the 15.
Definitely kid and stroller friendly!
If you park at NY NY or even the MGM...scan your NV license at the ticket whatchamacallit (11 year old self kicked on) for free parking. Non-residents...sorry, MGM resorts now charge parking fees.
Enjoy!
