Met some friends up for brunch on a sunny Saturday morning. Since it was such a nice day out, we decided to dine outside. The outside has a few games which include giant size Connect Four and Jenga. The theme of the restaurant is cute. Their regular menu is designed to look like those composite notebooks and the brunch menu is a scantron(brings back memories doesn't it?). We all ordered bottomless mimosas...which turned out that meant you get a maximum of 5 (or maybe it was 6?) medium carafes. I guess it's good that they put a cap on how much you can have but should it really be called "bottomless" then? I mean, don't get me wrong, it's still plenty and I got a good buzz from all that we drank but still. However, a plus is that they have beermosa, michelada, and bloody mary and you can switch it up if you like. Anyways, on to the food!
Crispy buffalo cauliflower: lightly fried cauliflower that came with a side of buffalo and ranch sauce. I liked this one and would recommend. The cauliflower wasn't mushy at all.
Chorizo mac and cheese: this was probably my favorite. It had a lot of flavor and I enjoy the pasta that they used.
Fried chicken and green chili cornbread waffles: this one was just alright. I wasn't a fan of the texture of the cornbread waffle and the green chili sauce was forgettable.
Fire roasted vegetable hash and eggs: this was my least favorite. It didn't have much flavor and was too bland for me. I felt like they literally put a whole can of black beans in there and that's just too much for me.
Eggs Benedict pizza: this was pretty tasty. Prosciutto gave it a nice, salty flavor and the crust had a nice char to it. You can tell it was cooked in a brick oven.
Stuffed French toast: this one was good! It was filled with different berries. I thought it would be really sweet by the way it looked but it wasn't! It had a nice sweet flavor without being overwhelming.
Our waitress was great! She was knowledgeable on the menu and answered any questions that we had. She also did a great job of keeping our drinks full.
Overall, I feel the food is just okay. I'm not in a huge hurry to come back anytime soon but glad I gave it a try.
