  • As far as inexpensive Asian food in Oakland goes, Lulu's is at the top of my list. The spring rolls are perfectly crisp with a delicious sauce that I have yet to find anywhere else (although I would like to take a bottle home with me). The service is similar to that of Hello Bistro (you order, pay and they bring it to you), so don't expect great service or anything. Lulu's is a strange combination of every cuisine in Southeast Asia, but hey, it's flavorful and plenty. I love the Hawaiian fried rice and if I'm really hungry, I'll splurge and get a mango smoothie because their smoothies are the best in the area.
