Park and Fremont is a good escape from the nearby caucophony of the Fremont Street Experience. It's different: an homey restaurant with artsy decor and reasonably priced, albeit good tasting, food and drinks. The great cocktail menu is solid and there a slew of beers on tap and in bottle.
The guy checking IDs at the door was a little strange. He forcefully asked to check my luggage before I walked in. Terror threat at Fremont? I guess so.
Best approach: Get overwhelmed on Fremont Street, drop in for dinner and sit in the backyard. Order a few cocktails, admire the wild wallpaper after using the bathroom, and enjoy a few small plates in courtyard peace.
