This place for sure just found a place on my top 10 favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. The food is amazing here. Although I caution you that some of the portions are a little small. But, its definitely worth it.
I went there with a group of friends and three of us shared food. Something we do often to give ourselves the chance to try multiple foods from the restaurants we visit. Here, after looking at multiple reviews we decided to go with the following:
1. Seaweed Salad for appetizer. The taste was very good. It was salty with a nice soy like salad dressing. If you don't like slimy food then you might not love it. Otherwise, I think its definitely a must try. Its different if you didn't have seaweed before.
For main dishes we got:
2. Tapoyaki, a small dish of Octopus balls. The best taste and most delicious. It was a fantastic blend of octopus meat and other ingredients. It is a must try in my opinion. The potion is a little small so make sure this is not the only thing you are ordering if you are too hungry.
3. We tried the Okonomyaki which Teppanyaki Kyoti is actually famous for. It was definitely a very tasty. Its a pancake style food with mix of cooked veggies, pancakes and meat. You have many options for toppings for extra. We tried it with shrimp and oyster and it was a great mix. I would for sure suggest it.
4. The last meal of ours was Chicken Katsu Kare. It was a nice Kare but it wasn't anything different or new. It was a fairly simple Kare and very similar to indian food. The taste was nice and good but I felt there more exciting meals to try. However, I should say the portion was really good.
For desert we got the cheese cake and the Kushi-Dango. Both were great but I personally loved the Kushi Dango. Not too sweet but yet very tasty.
I definitely would suggest this restaurant and visit here more often.
