Before you go, know this:
- This is one of the most exhilarating, fun, challenging ACTIVITIES you can do in Phx
- It's not an easy or even moderate hike. This is one of the most difficult hikes in Arizona. When visitors come to Phoenix, this is one of the most recommended activities, but take heed...it's a trek.
- Getting to the top brings you incredible views of the city.
- Bring lots of water - preferably a Camelbak or a container that holds at least 1L of water
- Be careful: Getting up the mountain is a challenge, but most falls happen on the way down. Take it slow.
- Parking is a bear: plan on going early - even as early as 530/6am in the Summer. You'll need to park on 64th street and walk as much as .5 miles to the trailhead.
