  • I hesitated on the yelp review, I dislike not giving a place a few tries first. I thought maybe it was an off-night for the waitress. But then I realized the couple who sat down by us were experiencing the same and this was not out of the ordinary. Like them, we waited a bit for our drink orders, then... our drinks. Thankfully we ordered our dinner at that time or I'm afraid it would've been another 10/15 min. After we ordered and had been there for almost 20 min, we were told we'd be getting chips and salsa. Then we got water. (Usually that comes first, but no big deal) after another ten the waitress came by and saw we didn't have chips.. Long story short everything took a ridiculously long time. We noticed the couple seated by us consistently looking behind them for their waitress. They too seemed frustrated at the wait for more than one item. It wasn't that busy, in fact we seemed to have a hard time finding any staff at all. It was a Friday night we weren't rushing and it was lovely outside, but the experience overall was subpar. The food was ok. Nothing like Mercaditos. My biggest frustration was having to eat my rice with chips until it was almost half gone because we couldn't locate any staff who could bring us silverware. If I'm spending $80 for tacos and drinks I want a fork.. They also dropped a portion of our side dish on the way to the table and another 15 min later brought back one tiny piece to compensate. No I'm sorry or anything -in fact nothing was said they just dropped the plate off and walked away.. The staff we interacted with for the most part were nice, the hostesses were very pleasant. Not enough substance for a return visit. No doubt there's room for improvement in several areas. :/
