| - My friends and I came here as part of a college reunion trip to Vegas. We loved going to a dueling piano bar in Boston during college and thought this would be a fun, nostalgic thing to do. We paid the $5 cover to get in, only to discover that there was a 1 drink minimum. WHAT? You have a cover charge OR a drink minimum, not both, and if you have both you damn well better advertise it. I totally felt like it was a bait and switch operation. The cheapest drink (water) was $3 for a bottle of water that I SWEAR was re-packaged tap water.
Drink minimum/cover aside, we did not enjoy our experience here at all. The piano players had good skills, but they talked too much instead of just playing, and they wouldn't play any songs that didn't come with tips. I'm sorry, but after paying roughly $10 just to be there, we didn't feel like paying even more to hear any of our songs, when there weren't that many people in the bar. Also, even if you send in your request with a tip, they'll only play a bit of it and then say "Oh no one wants this right?" and try to get someone to give them more money to keep playing it, or to play something else. It just comes across as greedy, and wasn't the fun, friendly low-key atmosphere we were hoping for.
