Simply said it's one of the best focal point of Pittsburgh. A large and impressive fountain sits at the cross roads of 3 large rivers and against the historical backdrop of Fort Pitt. According to all the stone etchings, it has been recently renovated to allow people to further enjoy the fountain during a hot day. When we were there, there were many people sitting on the edge and dangling their feet into the fountain, sun worshippers, and a few kids splashing about. I'm sure the cool mist from the fountain is a great way to cool down ... then it dawned on me. All those feet that are wading in the pool... ehhhh. Better not to think of it.
