| - After reading good reviews and friends whom have ordered glasses online with no problems, I thought I'd try getting a pair of glasses here. I'm happy there is a physical store because I'm peculiar with finding frames that fit my face -- I have the "typical" Asian face so buying frames online is a bit out of the question. As well, I can be picky with the shape of the frame.
The moment I entered the store, I was told that I am free to try on frames on the display, ok great!
After trying on a few frames, I found a pair I liked and while it's not quite a proper fit for my Asian features, it wasn't too bad. Well, turns out all the frames I tried on, even the one I liked were not good for me at all because my eyes wouldn't sit where it should after the lens are put in, especially with a strong prescription as told by one of the staff assisting me.
Fair enough. Afterwards, I was shown some frames that would properly suit me. However, that meant a very very small percentage of what they had in store I can choose from, which quite frankly, is very limited. I wasn't quite fond of the frames I was shown either so spending ~$200 on glasses that I'll be wearing everyday didn't sit right with me. Pun intended.
I appreciated the professional advice and the service but I don't think I'll ever purchase glasses from Clearly Contacts.
