  • These girls are reallyyy good at balayage (especially Lisa and Olivia) - I've never had it done on myself but their IG is a testament to their skills in this area. Their other skills are lacking though. Their cuts are definitely not "senior" level (when Olivia cut my hair is looked hacked and super choppy - I stopped getting it cut there after 2 stylists both botched it) and they are not good at doing full colour. I got my colour deepened and made to be more warm and when I got mine touched up after 3 months it did not blend and there was obvious banding. I asked for it to be corrected but they told me they would fix it at my next appt (4 months away) as they didn't want to over-process. So I lived with banding for four months and when the next appointment was done there was just another band! I feel it is wrong to let a client walk out of your salon like that. One, it looks bad on your salon, two, clients should get what they pay for. Lisa was not in so I could not talk to her and they told me they would let her know but never heard from her (also totally my bad for not following up but at that was not planning on going back anyways). I got the banding fixed at my prior salon for cheaper than they charge for a touch up. The salon is quite nice inside and the online booking is really convenient. They are friendly enough but also a bit caddy and snobby (sans Sam - she is so sweet). I feel if you are over the age of 25 this place isn't for you - it feels more like an cbc uni hang out than a professional salon. I get that it targets a younger crowd and wants to appear as modern and trendy but this doesn't have to come at the cost of being professional. Also Lisa's constant ranting on her IG page about us "girls" should know better than to ask for this or that when coming in or constantly complaining how much she has struggled and terribly suffered is annoying and frankly off-putting. Ask anyone who has owned their own business - its HARD and a struggle! Some people bust their balls for 30+ years to get where they want. Nobody said it was easy and stress-free. I commend her for what she has done - at her age it's truly amazing! But be positive about the experience and the success you were able to achieve instead of the constant whining and self-pity. I think if they up their non-balayage skills and act more mature and professional (while still targeting a younger crowd) this salon would be amazing. Unfortunately the overall vibe, choppy cuts and unresolved banding were more than enough to make me stay away.
