45 days ago a SW gas person knocked on our door to say they needed to replace our meter and battery since they do so every so many years. He said a SW gas employee would come back later the same day to re start all of your gas related items. That person cam back as promised went through the house with me to confirm what worked with gas. 3 fireplaces ( 2 inside, 1 outside) heater, stove, water pump etc. Left after a hour or so, stated all is done. On Oct 30 I went to turn of indoor fireplaces, they do not work, I figure no problem, I will just call SW Gas on Monday 11/2 they will come back out and all will be good. Once on phone I am calm and very polite. They than first tell me since it is more than 30 days they can't come back out. I say I had no reason to use fireplace when weather was warm. Than a supervisor comes in and says this is not their problem since the fireplace is probably defective and I need to call a contractor to re light the pilot light. I know this is probably a simple fix, yet I would rather have a professional fix anything to do with electricity or gas. I told them all worked fine until they disconnected everything, Probably a 10 minute fix for them. Call ended with her just saying nothing they can do for us. We are 10 year customers of SW gas. As noted in previous yelp complaints they know you can't switch service to a competitor.
